The RSC Anderlecht players are posing for a glamour calendar signed Matinique
Over the past two seasons, RSC Anderlecht and Matinique have been forming a winning team. In fact, Matinique, the fashion label for men which rightfully boasts the motto « casual chic » sponsors the players’ official suits. As a result, both players and management always distinguish themselves for their elegance at the various events and meetings they attend. By publishing this exclusive calendar, Matinique crowns its cooperation with the RSCA, extends its thanks to the players but, above all, offers all its followers and RSCA supporters an exclusive and unique collector’s item.
From day one, inspired by the motto ‘Mens sana in corpore sano’, Matinique and the RSCA decided to link this project to a good cause and thus provide it with some much needed funds. Part of the revenue generated by this project will be donated to the Belgian Diabetes Registry (RBD) which was founded in 1989 and has developed into a national network of doctors, researchers and associates. Together they dedicate themselves to further scientific research into diabetes. Their main task consists of collecting as many data as possible on diabetes patients and their relatives with the aim to be able to prevent, treat or cure this disease.
And who else but Pär Zetterberg to be the face and soul of this initiative? A diabetic himself, he knows better than anyone what this disease entails; however, it has never stopped him from becoming a star: he has received two Golden Boot awards, eight national titles – of which five with Anderlecht – and the Belgian Cup. Having contracted diabetes at the age of nineteen, Pär shows, day after day, that it is perfectly possible to live with this disease. His example inspires many youngsters and shows that sport and diabetes are perfectly compatible.

For the 2008 Limited Edition Calendar of the fashion label for men, Matinique, the champions of RSC Anderlecht stepped into the shoes of the catwalk stars. In this lavish calendar, the stars of the soccer pitch proved to be every bit as much at ease and photogenic as the pros in front of the lens of photographer Wim Van de Genachte. Each month will feature one or several players.
In the past, soccer and fashion have shown to be a winning duo. With this project RSC Anderlecht illustrates that it has plenty of other talents besides playing top level soccer.
The calendar will be available from 15th November at the price of € 25 - sold only in Belgium.
Matinique and F.C. Copenhagen Team Up for New Promotional Film
COPENHAGEN October 2007 –A new Matinique promotional film featuring F.C. Copenhagen football players marks the continuing collaboration between these two renowned brands and shows Matinique’s stylish versatility.
F.C. Copenhagen players in custom-designed Matinique suits gathered at The Paul restaurant at Tivoli for the film shoot. Set to be released in November, the film will be featured online, in displays at Matinique shops and during football matches at Parken Stadium, Denmark’s premier sports arena.
The campaign is part of the F.C. Copenhagen-Matinique apparel sponsorship and cross-marketing initiative, which started in 2005. The two brands recently signed on for another three years of collaboration.
Flemming Østergaard, chairman of Parken Sport & Entertainment, says the partnering is natural because both brands are international and share the key value of quality.
Claus Bendixen, managing director of Matinique, agrees. Furthermore, he points out that Matinique men, the brand’s distinctive end consumers, are urban, increasingly active athletically, and more fashion conscious than ever before. He adds that Matinique keeps its competitive edge through unremitting effort, another characteristic that the fashion house shares with F.C. Copenhagen.
Focus on shoes deluxe

We are proud to announce that Matinique will launch our own shoe collection. Like Matinique the shoes will be characterized by a recognizable high quality, and will be “Stylish with a cool relaxed attitude”.
The collection will include looks that is cool enough to wear in the city, yet resort-style enough to perform on blue-sky, brilliantly sunny mornings - that allow you to pretend that you’re heading for the beach rather than the office.
We look forward to introducing a stylish modern mix of shoes, where the combinations are such that the choice seems limitless – like the Matinique universe.
The shoe collection will arrive in our own retail stores August 1st.
